The University of Arkansas released an estimated timeline of how and when they will make the full transition from turf to grass inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The transition has already begun in the stadium as the field was cleared two days after the annual Red-White Spring Game on April 6. The removal of the turf began on April 11. Before that, the new grass field was sprigged off-site at Winstead Farms earlier this month. The grass is a type of Bermudagrass dubbed “Tahoma 31.”
“I’m a natural grass type of guy. I love being on a grass field,” said Head Coach Chad Morris.
